Spring Break in England!

LONDON WE LOVE YOU!! For NC State's spring break, my best friends came to visit and we met in London. We visited Buckingham Palace, and Windsor Castle, rode the London Eye, took multiple red double-decker buses, and the tube, and saw Big Ben and Westminster Abbey.

First, they arrived and we met at the airport before catching the train to London. We stayed at an Airbnb very close to Buckingham Palace so it was no surprise that we visited the palace first.

We started every morning with a trip around the corner to Gails. At the time we did not realize how popular Gail's is in London. The details of every day are blurry as I write this 10 months later. We spent one day primarily in Windsor exploring the castle and the area surrounding it. We got lunch at Queen Charlotte across from the Castle. The manager and staff here were very friendly to us!

On our second full day, we walked around St. James Park, 10 Downing Street, Westminster Abbey, and Big Ben. We ate lunch at Nandos and rode the London Eye. This was such a fun day! Later on the same day we took a double-decker bus tour and saw where the Crown Jewels are kept, rode Tower Bridge, saw St. Paul's Cathedral, and walked along the Millennium Bridge that is used in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. On this night we ate at a Dishoom. We had the best waiter at Dishoom and really enjoyed our food!

The next day we explored Notting Hill and the area surrounding Covent Garden. We did a little shopping and took a lot of pictures. Additionally, on this day we had traditional tea and visited Fortnum and Mason. I genuinely cannot remember where we ate dinner this night but I remember thinking it was delicious, not that this is helpful.

I visited London in high school on a trip with my school and this was my second time visiting. I really enjoyed visiting London and I cannot wait to return. Following our stay in London we headed to Dublin for St. Patrick's Day!

Best,

Hampton
